This role is all about turbocharging the property portfolio of a FTSE 100 business with 280 years of history.
While external advisors handle daily tasks, you'll dive in hands-on to maximize value. Your mission? Slash costs, boost income, and skyrocket capital value over the short, medium, and long haul.
As an Asset Manager, you'll be the driving force behind flipping underperforming assets, cranking up profits, and providing property support for top-notch strategic projects.
Role Type: 18month FTC
Location: National (Ideally within 1 hour of our Headquarters, Dunstable)

What you’ll do:
- Manage a property estate with an annual rent roll of approximately £270 million and a rating liability of around £112 million.
- Actively manage assets ranging from £0.5 million to about £100 million each, optimizing returns for the core business.
- Maintain a balanced portfolio of freehold and leasehold properties, enhancing returns through acquisitions and lease negotiations, yielding approximately £10 million NPV annually.
- Understand Whitbread and PI&R operational strategies, aligning property management to support business objectives.
What we need:
- Property background.
- Large multi-site corporate/Fund/Surveying Practice
- Able to demonstrate experience and understanding of the impact of property on business operations particularly on the outcome of projects, people issues and on corporate financial planning.
- Up to date knowledge of property law.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to close deals.
