As a Legal Counsel with a focus on Commercial supporting Premier Inn, you’ll play a core role in the legal team, providing comprehensive legal guidance to navigate various commercial and operational challenges. This role requires a thorough understanding of commercial agreements and the ability to effectively draft, negotiate, and interpret them, protecting the business’s interests.
Location: Dunstable, hybrid- a minimum of 3 days per week in the office

Salary: £80,000-£89,000

What you’ll do:
- Advising on the interpretation of and leading on the drafting of a wide variety of complex commercial contracts.
- Responsible for standardising Whitbread’s legal agreements and improvement of commercial processes.
- Advise on the application of laws and regulations in respect to advertising and marketing matters.
- Advise on contentious matters including overseeing small claims.
- Assist the Legal Director and General Counsel in Whitbread’s compliance programme.
- Assist the Legal Director in managing Whitbread’s international IP portfolio.
What we need:
- England and Wales qualified lawyer
- Experience in a major commercial law firm or large in-house department.
- Leading on drafting, interpreting and negotiating agreements.
- Give advice in relation to a diverse range of legal agreements and issues.
- Experience of dealing with contentious and non-contentious matters #LI1-MS
