As a Junior Chef at Premier Inn, you'll receive full training and support from experienced chefs while developing the skills and confidence to work independently in a busy kitchen environment.

From preparing fresh ingredients and learning recipes to cooking and plating dishes during service, you'll gain hands-on experience from day one. As your confidence grows, you'll take ownership of your own tasks and play an important part in delivering great meals for our guests.

One shift you could be helping prepare breakfast before guests start their day. The next, you'll be confidently cooking and plating dishes during a busy evening service.

What you'll do

As a Junior Chef, you'll be part of a supportive kitchen team where you'll learn new skills, develop your cooking ability and build confidence working independently.

You'll:

• Prepare ingredients and complete kitchen prep tasks before service
• Learn how to cook and present dishes to Premier Inn standards
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Take responsibility for your own tasks and work independently when required
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service
• Receive deliveries and help manage stock correctly
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience

This is a hands-on cooking role where you'll be actively involved in preparing and serving food. You'll receive full training, but you'll also have the opportunity to develop the confidence and skills needed to work independently in a fast-paced kitchen.
