  • Drive adoption and effectiveness of data products across the business by working closely with key stakeholders to understand evolving requirements.
  • Challenge and improve existing KPIs, reporting outputs and data product functionality to maximise business value.
  • Define requirements for improving data quality, accuracy and reliability across reporting and decision-support tools.
  • Work with Data Science teams where predictive models and advanced analytics form part of a data product.
  • Support the continuous improvement of business intelligence and data product capabilities through innovation and best practice.
  • Collaborate with teams across Data & Analytics to maximise the value of shared tools and platforms, including Power BI and Databricks.
  • Lead engineers and developers on project-based initiatives, providing technical guidance and support where required.
  • Support the development of technical skills and capabilities across the wider team through coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure data products remain effective, cost-efficient and aligned with business priorities.

Why you'll love it here:

  • Play a key role in shaping the future of data-driven decision-making across Whitbread.
  • Work on high-impact data products used by teams across the business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from a variety of functions and seniority levels.
  • Help drive innovation, efficiency and performance improvement through data.
  • Be part of a growing Data & Analytics function delivering transformational change.
  • Access excellent career development opportunities within one of the UK's leading hospitality businesses.
  • Work with modern data platforms and technologies in a collaborative environment.

What you'll need:

  • Strong understanding of business intelligence, data products and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Knowledge of data structures, operational processes and reporting solutions.
  • Good understanding of business strategy and how data supports organisational objectives.
  • Awareness of systems architecture and core business systems.
  • Understanding of data science principles and how predictive analytics can enhance business decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
  • Strong analytical, modelling and data visualisation skills using tools such as Excel, SQL and Power BI.
  • Experience designing and developing BI solutions and data products.
  • Strong backlog management and prioritisation skills.
  • Project management capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments and sprint-based development models.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience designing and operating high-impact data products that support business decision-making across multiple organisational levels.
  • Experience working within a large, complex or matrix organisation.
  • Experience leading, coaching or mentoring analysts, developers or product teams.
  • Experience within a hospitality, hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Experience developing new data management processes and governance approaches.
  • Experience creating communications, training materials and adoption programmes that support effective use of data products.
  • Knowledge of platforms such as Databricks and broader modern analytics technologies.
